Finally we've reached the infamous DOOM movie starring Karl Urban and The Rock, and boy howdy is it a doozie. While some of the action was good and Karl Urban tries to put in a good performance, the movie mostly falls flat due to writing and pacing issues. But the first-person shooter sequence is actually cinematic gold. Rip and tear until it is watched!

We had fun with this one too, but it doesn't quite match the campiness of the original and takes itself a tad too seriously. Still, a good ole scarifying hoot!

Starring Angelina Jolie's taut thighs, a fighting robot that should probably be the one doing the tomb raiding, and an IT guy who lives in the backyard and is NOT allowed in the house, it's 2001's Tomb Raider! We enjoyed this one decently, with fun set pieces and dumb plot devices, and Jolie isn't half bad as Lara Croft. Join us!

We finally begin our journey into Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich's thinly veiled sex fantasies put to the big screen! The gang dives in 2001's Resident Evil, and if you can't figure out how long it takes to turn into a zombie, don't worry, we can't either. We had a pretty good time with this one, and man that hallway laser scene is *chef's kiss*.

You ever been brave enough to make a movie that has the year it was released as part of the title? We again had a good time with Pokemon's second theatrical release, and while the story was a bit cheesy, good humor, good animation, and great music really carry the film.

This week we're joined by Ryan Blankenbaker, confirmed gamer, to dive into the first of many Uwe Boll films on our list with House of the Dead! This was a certified good bad movie that we had a blast watching. The fact that it nearly caused Nirav to have an actual seizure is balanced out by the topless SEGA-branded party on a remote island off the northwestern coast.

Nirav, Jess, and Felicia continue their foolish foray into the world of video game movie adaptations! This week, Street Fighter! A lot of folks remember this movie fondly from their childhood, so let's pray together this one finally passes the Bechdel Test! Narrator: It didn't.

FATALITY! As much as we loved the first Mortal Kombat film, this one lacks the heart and enthusiasm of its predecessor and makes several casting changes for the worse. Ultimately, MK Annihilation is more of a time capsule of terrible 90s action movies than a reflection of Mortal Kombat.

Moooooortal Kombaaaaaat! Jump in the ring with Nirav, Felicia, and Jess as they experience the fondly remembered Mortal Kombat movie from 1995. While it may not be the best movie, it was a huge improvement over the Street Fighter Movie and had a lot more personality. Fight!

As much as we enjoyed seeing Freddie Prince Jr. and Matthew Lillard in this spiritual prequel to the live action Scooby Doo movie, it wasn't super interesting. But we did get very hype about the cat people! Until we saw them. I think this one passed the Bechdel test tho, so, we're moving up!

Well, then, I AM ENTEI! RAARRRRR! We were pleasantly surprised with Pokemon the Third Movie: Spell of the Unown, especially when compared to other 2001 animated films and previous video game adaptations. Excellent animation, colors, art direction, and an incredible soundtrack highlight this good enough story about a little girl losing her father. Check it out now!

Nirav is maybe the world's biggest Pokemon fan and was worried this one wouldn't hold up to his memories of opening night at the theater, but luckily Pokemon The First Movie proved to be a good time with a few poignant themes and some solid animation. Also we watched it with the wrong subtitles so that was a ride. Two movies for the price of one!
